Sandy Town Bowling Club – Events
DEE DAY – revised event details
For existing club bowlers, we have the annual DEE DAY event, this year on Sunday 22nd July 2018 (revised date), starting at 2- 2.30pm, which is a triples tournament. We start off with a round robin competition involving all and gives you a minimum of 3 short games. The top two teams play off in the final – great fun with lots of lovely food and drink, and the company is brilliant.
Tuesday and Friday ‘Roll ups’
Why not try your hand at bowling? Our popular Tuesday afternoon roll up sessions (May to September) give you that opportunity. Just turn up at our green at around 2.00pm where our qualified coaches will be available to offer advice if required – who knows, you just might have a natural talent.
During the season, we also hold a weekly social gathering on Friday evenings from 6.00pm, when members enjoy a game of bowls followed by an optional fish and chips supper.
Bowls is, of course, a fine weather sport, so if you come down, be prepared for the possibility that the session has been called off through inclement weather. To be safe, if in any doubt over the weather, give Michael Groom a call on 01767 227523. See you on the green.
Open Day at Sandy Town Bowling Club!
Sandy Town Bowling Club is holding an Open Day on Sunday 29th April, from 2.30pm – FREE OF CHARGE!
We are starting the new season with our Open Day – everyone aged from 9-90 is welcome. Just turn up with your flat shoes (trainers will be fine – no heels), join in the fun and maybe win a prize in our target bowls competition. Qualified coaches will be on hand to guide you through the basics.
